Independent Financial Adviser
Taunton/Somerset

I am a fully independent financial adviser at Abacus Associates, with over 20 years’ experience providing professional advice to both personal and corporate clients.

I deliver holistic, jargon-free financial planning, working closely with clients to help them clearly understand their options and achieve their financial objectives. I particularly enjoy explaining complex areas of financial planning in a clear and straightforward way, enabling clients to make confident and informed decisions.

I have extensive experience working with both state and independent schools, providing specialist advice on Teachers’ Pensions and the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). I also advise businesses on protection solutions, including group pensions, death-in-service benefits and group income protection.

As an independent adviser, I am able to provide unbiased advice across the whole of the market. My areas of expertise include pensions, investments, protection, trusts and inheritance tax planning. I place my clients at the heart of everything I do and am committed to building long-term relationships through a high standard of ongoing service, integrity and transparency.

I specialise in the following advice services:

Lifetime Financial Planning

Through the use of sophisticated cash flow modelling techniques and by applying various inflation, interest rate and growth assumption we can plan how to get you where you want to be. The use of cashflow modelling is becoming the cornerstone of effective lifetime planning.

Pension & Retirement Planning

When you think about the future, what does your retirement look like to you? An important question which we can help you answer.

Investment & Wealth Management

Creating, growing, and then maintaining wealth is key to successful financial planning and should be part of a longer-term investment strategy.

Personal Protection

Talking about illness, disability or death is never an easy conversation to have but protecting against the unexpected will help with financial security and ensure your family can cope should the worst happen.

Workplace Pensions

As an employer, you must auto-enrol certain staff into a workplace pension scheme and contribute towards it in order to meet legislative obligations.

Business Protection Planning

The importance of business protection is often overlooked but is key to helping business owners plan for the unexpected.
